Richard Gilewitz

Richard has performed for Fiddle & Bow several times over the years and audiences have enjoyed his great guitar work and his droll sense of humor. Whether on 6 or 12-string guitar, Richard has mastered many styles based on his early music listening which ranged from the Beatles, to J.S. Bach, to John Fahey, to Andres Segovia.

He honed his skills in the late ‘70’s while at the University of Alabama and began performing on the coffee house circuit. By the ‘80’s he had moved to Florida and abandoned corporate life to perform full-time. He released his first album during this time, “Somewhere In Between.”
